Eat and Flourish! An interview with Mary Beth Albright
Have you ever noticed that your mood is connected with the food you eat? I speak with journalist Mary Beth Albright about her new book “Eat and Flourish: How Food Supports Emotional Well-Being.”
Food has power to nourish your mind, supporting emotional wellness through both nutrients and pleasure.
This week on the Foodie Pharmacology podcast, I chat with Mary Beth Albright about the four pillars of food and health explored in the book: pleasure, microbiome, inflammation, and nutrients. From eating socially to eating a variety of vegetables, we explore the myriad ways to boost mood through our foods! Follow Mary Beth’s work at http://www.marybethalbright.com/
Praise for Eat and Flourish
Food has an incredible power to heal bodies and nourish minds, to connect and repair communities, to feed the few and the many. In Eat & Flourish, Mary Beth Albright makes the compelling case that by understanding food holistically, we can unlock its potential to improve our physical and emotional well-being.

I've watched Mary Beth Albright eat, and I've certainly watched her flourish in her career over the last decade. A true authority on all things food, her book is a departure from the expected and does a world of good through one of our most important places: the dinner table.
