“Roots of Beauty” Workshop from Italy

A recording from Cassandra Quave's live video
2

Thank you to everyone who joined us live for the Roots of Beauty workshop in Ginestra, Italy! We experienced a few internet connectivity issues at the start of the livestream—only the audio came through at first—but the video began working about two minutes into the recording.

I’d like to extend a special thank-you to Fiorella Pompa, the mayor of Ginestra, whose vision and dedication to preserving and sharing local traditional knowledge made this event possible. A huge thanks as well to Raffaela Irenze for leading the activity with such care and enthusiasm!

In the workshop, we mentioned the book Medicina Popolare del Vulture, which I wrote many years ago. It was self-published using EU community funds. While we don’t currently have additional copies in print, I’ll look into the cost of a new printing run in case there’s interest in purchasing copies. The book is written in both English and Italian.

During the presentation, I also shared findings from a scientific study on St. John’s Wort oil conducted in my lab. You can access the full open-access publication here:
